Scripture Reading: Hebrews 9:11-15
Memory Verse: Colossians 1:14

Introduction: To redeem means to purchase. We are sinful and mortal beings with a penalty that must be paid. We must be redeemed.
1. Why was Jesus crucified 2000 years ago? Ephesians 1:7.
2. Is this redemption present or future? Ephesians 4:30, Luke 21:28.
3. What was the condition of all Gentiles before we heard the gospel?
Ephesians 2:12.
4. Redemption is a manifestation of what? Ephesians 2:7.
5. What is our present relationship to God? Romans 8:17.
6. Who is the source of our redemption? Hebrews 9:12.
7. Redemption leads to eternal life. What else is granted to those who
are saved? Psalm 37:11.
8. Is this redemption based on our performance? John 3:16.
9. When will we be redeemed? Colossians 3:4.

Conclusion: Jesus has died for our sins. We have been redeemed by His blood, that is to say, we have been purchased by His blood. The
penalty for sin has been paid through the blood of Jesus Christ.
