REPENTANCE

April 18

Scripture Reading: Matthew 3:1-2, 8
Memory Verse: Matthew 3:2

Introduction: We are all born sinners. We must all put away the sins in our lives. How does this process of repentance work?
1. To whom should we preach that they should repent? Luke 24:47.
2. Among the nations, who should be called to repent? Luke 5:32.
3. Most men and women think that they are good persons. So, how is
anyone to know that he is a sinner? Romans 3:20.
4. John was one of the Apostles who learned directly from Jesus
Christ. How does John define sin? 1 John 3:4.
5. How should a sinner respond to this knowledge? Psalm 38:18.
6. What now should take place within him? 2 Corinthians 7:10.
7. Once someone is convinced of their sins, and convicted, what
question should they ask? Acts 16:30.
8. How should the Saint reply to the sinners’ question? What is the
next step in the life of the sinner? Acts 2:38.

Conclusion: The word of God teaches us God’s law. That knowledge should lead us to sorrow, conviction, and repentance.
