JESUS CHRIST IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Introduction: Jesus Christ is not a New Testament invention. Jesus was from the beginning.
1. While Jesus was on earth, there was no New Testament. So, what
did Jesus say about the Old Testament scriptures? John 5:39.
2. When, and to whom, was the gospel first preached? Galatians 3:8.
3. Who was the subject of the gospel taught to Abraham? John 8:56.
4. Jesus was before the New Testament. He was also before
Abraham. Did He exist before Creation? Colossians 1:(12-15), 16-17.
5. As the children of Israel wandered in the desert, who was with
them? 1 Corinthians 10:1-4.
6. Why did Moses abandon the riches of Egypt? Hebrews 11:24-26.
7. We know that the New Testament Apostles are built on the
foundation of Jesus Christ. Who were the Old Testament prophets built
upon? Ephesians 2:19-20.

Conclusion: Jesus is the Creator. All things were created by Him. He is even called the express image of God. Hebrews 1:1-3.
