NEW TESTAMENT SABBATH

Scripture Reading: Psalm 102:25-27

Introduction: Is there a New Testament Sabbath Day? Has the holiness of the Sabbath been transferred to another day of the week?
1. After the crucifixion, what day was observed by the women who
followed Jesus? Luke 23:55-56.
2. According to the commandment, what day is the Sabbath Day?
Exodus 20:10.
3. Why is the seventh day the Sabbath Day? Exodus 20:11.
4. How did the women regard the first day of the week? Luke 24:1.
Note: The women brought spices; they worked on that day.
5. When prophesying the overthrow of Jerusalem, what did Jesus tell
the Saints to pray for? Matthew 24:20.
6. What does the writer of Hebrews say about the Sabbath Day?

Conclusion: Even in the New Testament, the seventh day of the week is still the Sabbath Day. It has not changed.
