
MEDITATION AND PRAYER

Introduction: Through prayer we make our request to God, and by prayer we also meditate for our own benefit.
1. What are the various sources of temptations that we can expect in
this life? James 1:14, 1 Peter 5:8, 1 John 2:15.
2. Through whose strength can we overcome them? John 15:5.
3. What must we do to resist these temptations? Matthew 26:41.
4. How much should we pray? How often? 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
5. At what time did David choose to pray? Psalm 63:6.
6. In what does a righteous man delight? Psalm 1:2, Psalm 104:34.
7. How long should meditation and prayer continue? Matthew 24:13.
8. What should we do as we near the end of this age? Mark 13:33-37.
9. What is promised to those who continue in meditation, prayers,
continue to watch for Jesus’s second coming? Luke 12:37.
Conclusion: Jesus has taught us to pray. Paul commands us to pray. There are many examples of prayer in the Bible. With so much written
about prayer, it is mandatory for all Saints to pray regularly.
