GROW IN GRACE

Scripture Reading: 2 Peter 1:1-4
Memory Verse: John 1:17

Introduction: God has given us grace. That is, God demonstrates His favor toward the Saints; He is gracious and merciful to all.
1. What word does Peter use to close his letter? 2 Peter 3:18.
2. How can we obtain the grace that Peter speaks of? 2 Peter 1:2.
3. From what source do we obtain this knowledge? John 5:39.
4. To whom does God give grace? James 4:6.
5. What instructions are given by Peter for those who want to grow in
grace? 2 Peter 1:5-7.
6. What is said of the person who practices these qualities? v 8.
7. What is said of the Saint who does not practice them? v 9.
8. Should we make a serious effort to practice these qualities? v 10.
9. How did Jesus Christ show grace for mankind? Hebrews 2:9.

Conclusion: Our behavior, which includes temperance, patience, kindness, and charity, should be obvious to all. We should exercise our
grace, and put it to work. By doing so, we show our favor toward others.
