Creation and the Creator

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1, Genesis 1:1-3 January 10, 2026
Memory Verse: Genesis 1:31

Introduction: Our universe is the Creation of God. He is our Maker. We are His creatures. It is our duty to honor our Creator.

1. When were the heaven and earth created? By whom? Genesis 1:1.
2. Why did God make the heavens and the earth? Isaiah 45:18.
3. Whom did God create to inhabit His Creation? In whose image did
God create him? Genesis 1:27.
4. As the Creator of man, He is our provider. What home did He
provide for man? What food did He provide? Genesis 2:8, 9ab,15.
5. God is the Maker of all that we see, and of all life on earth. Since
we are his creatures, what do we own our Creator? Psalm 95:6.
6. The Creation that we see all around us speaks on behalf of the
Creator. What do they say? Psalm 19:1.
7. How does the Creation that we witness every day testify of God
who created them? Romans 1:20.

Conclusion: The earth was created in six literal days. Man was created on day six. For this reason, we honor God. Hebrews 11:3.
